Strangers walks up to me and says "Do you know you look like Angelina Jolie?" almost 4 times a week maybe because we both have european and native american backgrounds. I am from the Taino tribe the original people of Puerto Rico, Spanish and French and Jolie is Iroquois, Czechoslovakian and French. People remind me that if I look like the number one top movie star my time will come soon!! I danced next to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and hope to follow in her footsteps and success in Hollywood. Angelina Jolie inspires me to follow my dreams to be an actress!!

Jolie got $20 mil to star in Salt a feature film whose lead character was originally written as a male character but underwent a major change to be rewritten as a female character for Jolie. Wow, Jolie you rock and I am a total fan!

I went out to lunch at the Russian Tea Room a famous NY restaurant built in the 1920s where Madonna worked as a coat check girl & got fired before she was famous. I think we know who got the last laugh!! I took a picture in front of the coat check room to celebrate brilliant people having to survive getting fired by idiots. I worked as a coat check girl at a bar during college.

I attended the film premiere for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. It was a little difficult for me to watch the film since I am not a big fan of horror films but I wanted to see the work of the producer Michael Bay and so I attempted to view the film but had to take a break halfway into the film to have a drink of water as I started to feel sick from all the blood. I made a few more attempts to return to my seat but just could not stomach the horror. I don't like to see people getting killed and blood all over although I have worked on two horror films as an actress "Hollywood Kills" and "Real Horror TV". I also audition for Director Eli Roth for the star role of the horror film "Hostel 2". I guess when you are on a set filming a horror film it does not seem so scary with so many crew people around but as a viewer I really get into the story and it is very scary for me.

Somewhere in between being a Go-Go Dancer, Playboy TV model, and co-star to Paris Hilton in Bottom's Up, Dita de Leon managed to get her business degrees. But I’m sure you don’t care about that. I bet you find it far more interesting that she was front and center of the Brad and Angelina affair and that she shared a Jacuzzi with Matthew Modine in Any Given Sunday. Jealous yet? You should be.
At 26, this Puerto Rican triple threat has no intentions of slowing down. With acting gigs being offered left and right and a new jewelry and clothing line, Dita is on the fast track to becoming Hollywood’s next big star.
You can catch her in the soon-to-be released The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down and Senior Skip Day with Norm McDonald, Tara Reid and Clint Howard. If you just can’t wait for that, you can just read on and occasionally glance at the hot pictures strategically placed on the page. Go on. We won’t judge.
CP: You started as a dancer in New York City. That must have been wild.
Dita de Leon: When I was in high school and a little bit of college, I was a club dancer. I danced in Miami and Manhattan.
Does that mean you partied a lot, too?
DL: I went to all of the clubs. I went to Limelight, Redzone and Tunnel. I went to China Club a lot, too. You name it, I partied in it!
I bet you never had any trouble getting in.
DL: I remember the set up of having to get in. There are a lot of parties in the city where you actually have to stand outside of the line and have to get picked by the doorman.
Not much has changed.
DL: I thought that was so awesome! It’s a whole game of getting the right look and showing up with the right crowd. The whole style of standing outside and them picking you is very New York.
I bet your dancing experience helped you out when you were a salsa dancer in Mr. and Mrs. Smith
DL: Dancing has always been something that I’ve done. Although, I would never compare myself to any of the top dancers.
Angelina Jolie was pretty hot in Mr. and Mrs. Smith…
DL: Angelina was really nice. We didn’t get to talk because I didn’t really want to bother her. But she would wave and say hi.
You know there have been rumors that she and Brad Pitt hooked up on set. Any truth to that?
DL: I was only on the set for three days. The scene actually called for them to be touchy touchy. So there was a lot of touching and bumping and grinding. It’s hard to tell where acting stopped and reality began!
Well, they are two of the hottest people in the world.
DL: They definitely had a lot of chemistry. It was so hot in that scene and I’m like three inches away from them. I can tell you, it was hot. And Brad Pitt kept grabbing her behind. I don’t know if that was for the scene but it was definitely happening!
Did you stalk her? I would stalk her.
DL: I was petrified to talk to her because she’s one of the best actresses in the world. I didn’t want to ruin that. I didn’t want to say something and have her not be happy with me. I’d have to live with that for the rest of my life. She’s a big role model for me.
Did you talk to Paris Hilton on the set of Bottom's Up?
DL: I thought she was absolutely fabulous. She was one of the nicest people that I’ve worked with.
So there’s no truth to the rumors? Shucks...
DL: A lot of people want to knock her but she was so prepared. She’s also very funny.
What about Matthew Modine? You shared a Jacuzzi with him in Any Given Sunday.
DL: I had no experience being on a Hollywood set. It was crazy for me. I got cast for a little part and before I knew it I was in a scene with Matthew Modine in a Jacuzzi and I had a few lines. It was great. Unfortunately it was cut so you’ll never see it unless Oliver Stone digs it out of the cutting room floor!
And you worked for Playboy TV…
DL: I started working with Playboy as a model for Playboy TV. We did a couple of TV shows where I’m one of the models by the pool or one of the models playing a game topless. I didn’t do anything more than fun, playful and topless.
That’s so hot. And it’s funny because you’re always playing the hot girl yet you have a business degree. How do you feel about that?
DL: When you begin, you have to go to the type that’s more obvious. You go for the roles that will get you the job. Ultimately you want to work. If that’s the starting block, you take what you’re going to get.
So, do you have a favorite actor?
DL: I have a favorite southern actor.
Is it Matthew McConaughey? Because he is super delicious.
DL: Oh my God, is he not hot? I saw him at the Golden Globes and he was two tables away from me and he was with Penelope. When he walked past me, I was like “oh, Jesus.”
I think you’d make a wonderful couple. Will you invite me the wedding?
DL: He totally hangs out in Malibu. Maybe I should just go hang out in Malibu.
I would.
DL: Okay, it’s official. Dita and Matthew McConaughey are a match. Matthew, te quiero!
Does that mean you don’t have a boyfriend?
DL: I’m actually so busy I don’t think I can have a boyfriend. Boyfriends take a lot of time and dedication.
Dita, the world wants you. How can they have you?
DL: My calendar is coming out soon and there will be very sexy, sexy pictures!

DITA in teen comedy film SENIOR SKIP DAY & NORBIT

I got casted to play a really cool role of a teen fantasy model in the comedy film "Senior Skip Day" where I am the bait to get a bunch of teens to skip school to meet me at a party!!! The role has a lot of comedic dialogue!!! I have to hide from Tara Reid best known for the film American Pie who is the older sister of the teen throwing the party actor Gary Lundy.

We also have the wonderful performance of Clint Howard who you might recognize from WaterBoy film among others and if the face looks familiar to another celeb. he is the brother of Ron Howard from Happy Days who is a high power producer/director now.

I also got to work with a new face in town Russell Howard and Jackson Rathbone. Amazing actors.

You will also see me in the film Norbit with Eddie Murphy where I had a small role of a stripper. check out the pics from the set.

Cannes Film Festival 2006!!! Wish for What U Want. It Might Happen!!!!

I attended the Cannes Film Festival for the first time this year May 19th -27!!! I had such an amazing and euphoric time that I sometimes could not believe it was happening to me. My good friend who is a producer invited me to stay on his yacht in Cannes France during the Festival. The yacht had a full time chef which served up the most amazing delights that were only topped by the incredible lunch and dinner attendees which included Directors and Producers from around the world. Many have expressed interest in having me work on their film projects!!!!! I met producers from around the world, Spain, France, England, South Africa, India, Mexico, USA, Germany etc..etc.. and they all know DITA now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two of the most interesting people that I met during my Cannes visit were the two Directors whose films were being sold by my friend's production company, Director Chuck Russell, most famous for Directing the MASK starring Jim Carey and Cameron Diaz and Director Luis Mendoki, who directed Jennifer Lopez in Angel Eyes!!!! I got to chat with both of these amazing Directors during our boat dinners as they were often extremely busy in meetings otherwise. I hope that one day I get to work with them!!! I also met my Wingman crew with whom I partied with in some of the most exclusive yacht parties in Cannes among them was the big party for Paris Latsis which party guests included the likes of Director Oliver Stone among other big names etc.etc..!!! Good times. Let's not forget my new wingman, you know who you are... and most importantly My GODFATHER... who made this wonderful trip happen!!! You have a very special place in my heart!!!!

I had a great time at the Complex Magazine Red Carpet Party where I got to hang out with my old friend actor Jeremy Renner who is featured in the current issue of the magazine. You can view his work on the film North Country where he played Bobby Sharp.

Sundance Film Festival

I attended the attended the Sundance Film Festival for the first time Jan 19 -29th. It was a lot of fun. Saw a few films, got to go to a lot of parties for Entertainment Weekly, Variety etc. etc.. There are also these luxury lounges that sponsors have to give gifts to celebrities so that they can wear their products. It was cool to get all these free gifts and get your picture taken..... here are some pictures from my trip.

I just filmed a comedy bit on "The Showbiz Show with David Spade" which airs on Thursdays at 10:30pm/9:30 C on the Comedy Central Cable Network. I played a big breasted Santa Clause helper at a Hollywood event that teases and flirts with David Spade telling him... "Hi David.. Remember me?? Merry Christmas ... I want to be your Christmas present". You will have to watch the show to see David's response to my seduction which should air in the next two weeks ...

I think he is HOT!!!! A man that can make you laugh and is a little bit of a Bad boy... UMMMM INTERESTING!!!!!!!

Here is a cool picture of David Spade with my other favorite comedian "Tom Green" with whom I have also worked with on his MTV show where the producers hired me to play Tom's Blind Date. The date aired on the show and Tom and I are still friends..... yes Just Friends!!! He gives me advise on my growing Comedy career.

Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival Gala

The 9th Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival was a lot of fun and I got to see lots of Latino films from all around the world and attend one of the galas with my good friend Director Charles McDougall who just won an Emmy for directing Desperate Housewives. Charles and I met on the set of the tv movie "Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss" which he directed and I played a Call Girl. Funny...right. He is British and is a very nice person. He was one of people responsible for casting Eva Longoria in the Desperate Housewives pilot. I hope to work with him again soon.

Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards 2005

I worked with Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards show this year as an "Angel" which is basically a model that escorts the award recipients backstage and works with the event producers for overall event production. I had a great time working the event and meeting lots of wonderful people. I met Maria Conchita Alonso who was very nice and made me laugh a great deal. I respect her a great deal as a Latina that has maintained a career in Hollywood for a very long time and continues to surprise us with new projects. She looks amazing in person!!! Another Latino Actor which I met that night was Lorenzo Lamas (picture below) who was very nice to me. He was so good looking and well spoken that it made me nervous to say anything, so I decided to let him speak. He told me one of his parents was from Argentina and that he was a private plane pilot. At that point my fantasy dream went into overdrive as I have always wanted to fly in a private airplane to a private island for a romantic get away. However, I did not say anything and just smiled, but if he happens to read my blog. Please contact me.....it will be our little secret.

El Vacilon Movie Premiere in New York 10/19/05

The Premiere of the film "El Vacilon, the Movie" in New York was GREAT!!! I attended the event with long time friend and fellow actor Luis Lopez, who I know from my college years. We share a common dream of becoming top actors in Hollywood. A dream we both dreamed about during college and is now becoming a reality for the both of us. Walking the red carpet was super cool. I had attending red carpet movie premiere events before but this was my first red carpet movie premiere for a film I had a role in!!!!!! The moment went by so fast but the memory will last a life time. I am so glad I shared it with my great friend Luis Lopez who I know will be a big star in Hollywood one day!!! and he always tells me that I will be a big star in Hollywood one day so the respect is mutual!!!

To the producers Augustin, Darryl, Luis & Alma you did it big!!!! The movie was GREAT and the after party was beautiful. Congrats!!!! I look forward to working with you all again!!!

The Film Release of El Vacilon Movie featuring Dita

I filmed a small role in a Spanish Comedy film titled "El Vacilon" last year which is being released this
October 2005!!!!!! The movie stars Luis Jimenez and Moonshadow who are best know for being radio jocks in the #1 radio show in New York "El Vacilon Por La Manana". The movie has a cameo scene from Paul Rodriguez.
I had a scene with Luis Jimenez the star of the film who was so funny!!!!! (behind the scenes picture on the left)In my scene he is looking to pick up a girl at the bar and well things don't go as planned for him and I end up smacking him in the face as I yell at him "Ne te atrevas" which is Spanish for "Don't your dare". Luis plays a loud and funny guy that is always looking to pick up women and was a lot of fun to work with!!!! Oh did I forget to mention he was also a Producer... the man is on Fire.

The Director of "El Vacilon" was Augustin was also had a producer hat. He only goes buy one name. Yep, no surname for Mr. Augustin who was a lot of fun to work with. The other producer of the film was a beautiful lady named ALMA who rocks. Let's hear it for Women in Films!!!!! I tried to get a picture with Alma but the photographer as you can see missed.

I will be in New York in two weeks for the release launch party!!! The film is distributed by Televisa Cine.

I am working on getting my 2006 Dita Calendar out SOON.... have most of my pictures done with phootshoots in Los Angeles and New York and will be posting them in my boutique link on my site!!!!

I had a lot of fun taking the pictures and you are going to love them.... I even have some pictures taken with me in BLACK hair!!!! I am starting to like this dark hair look.... but for now I will stay blonde.
